Owls and Babies
Hello!
I'm helping my sister throw a baby shower this Sunday for her sister-in-law and her nursery theme is pink, brown and OWLS!! I love owls:)
so I made her this mobile to decorate at the party and for her to take home as my gift to her!
I used my Cricut to make the owls and an embroidery hoop to hang them from-I hope she likes it!

The perfect Valentines dress
Here is what I'll be wearing tonight (yes to go oven shopping-what!? I like to dress up!)(it says 'After" because I posted it on Project Re style's Flickr group)
and here is what it used to look like
improvement yes?
Have a wonderful time celebrating love tonight and all year! Be Safe!
Happy Valentines Day!! (and a project restyle!)
My oven broke.
what does that have to do with Valentines Day?
well-nothing...except My sweetheart and I will be be shopping for a new one tonight-which is really exciting for me! a Brand. New. Oven!!!! No one else will have ever cooked in it! which is silly of me...but I'm still happy about it:)
So those are our romantic VDay plans...
Also-I made this little bag for Gwento put her Valentines in! Isn't it cute!
I used this beyond unflattering dress (that I will also be restyling-I've already cut off the top)
and some leftover buttons and scraps
she obviously thinks its THE coolest thing

Party Post #3! Cupcakes!!
The cupcakes were so amazing they deserved their own post!
we had 2 types-little mini cakes
with 'eat me', take one' and other silly things on them
and bigger "rose bushes"
my amazing friend Amber came over and stayed at my house until 1am piping little roses (she is the BEST!) that we sprayed with food coloring spray to make them look like some ill fated cards had begun to paint them red! I love how they turned out-so cute! I think these would be great for a garden party too
a huge shame on me for not getting more pictures of them!
So it was a success overall-I can't believe shes 3!

Party Post # 2 Decorations and Costumes!
My sweet husband and brother hung the streamers and I stuck cards around the light fixture to hide the staples
We made card garlands and hung them in the windows
and of course had a tea party table

Heres my little Alice!!
I spent a whole afternoon sewing this little dress and she LOVES it
(its in the wash right now otherwise she'd have it on)

I was the Doormouse
Hope was the Queen of Hearts
Hayley was the White Rabbit
My dad was the Mad Hatter
and my 13 yr old brother and his friend took the prize as Tweedledum and Tweedledee (rumor has it they flipped a coin to see who had to be Tweedledum! haha)
Party Post #1 The Pinata!
First-we(by we I mean my sister and I-shes my partner in crime for all my parties)
made the Pinata-
we were a little worried at this point-it was looking a little wonky...
but the paper mache helped a little
and here is how it turned out once the tissue paper and face was put on!
(Hope drew the eyes and mouth-she is an incredible artist)
Its the Cheshire Cat! We used him as decoration during the party (get it? Its just a floating head! )
I also fed the paper bags through the printer for an extra little touch-I think they look so cool!
I was a little sad that it wasn't as sturdy as I'd hoped-some of the bigger kids didn't get to have a turn-we should have done another layer-now I know for next time!
Next up-the Decorations!
