Hat (see more slouch beanies)
Anyway you'll soon see these are the winter alternative to my trusty fedora. I love these things! This mustard tone is one that I don't wear well so I usually only use it in hats or shoes. Also-if you have blond hair I think the effect against this particular shade can be a little off putting-I'd go for a deeper jewel tone and a forest green or burgundy looks especially pretty against light hair.
Whats that? You're only here for the pictures! Well Lets get on with it then!
I know what you're thinking "oh no she did not just bust out with leather pants" But just give them a chance! I really like these when worn just right-meaning please don't wear a leather jacket too. Also please follow the legging rule and make sure your top covers your bum. Yes that is a rule. I like this outfit for everyday and wish my hair looked that cute short.
This is another good daytime look. I love the soft romantic touches mixed in with studs and black and I can see myself wearing this for Saturday afternoon errands with the little family..and I love those accordion pleated maxi skirts (obviously...)
#3 is my favorite. Maybe because I'm determined to go out ALONE with my husband and this would be a great outfit for an evening out. Which is hard to do with a nursing baby! There is just so much preparation required! Anyway I love this and that it still looks like it's be warm enough without feeling stuffy. Well...warm enough for Texas anyway!
Ok ladies let me know! # 1, 2 or 3? Are you into the floppy beanie whatever-you-call it thing? Would you brave the leather or wax coated pants trend? And as always-any requests for next weeks 3 ways??
I have a love for winter hats. Love the style of yours, but I would definitely need a different color (blonde hair problems).

ReplyDeleteWithout a pompom, it might be a beret, but we've always called slouchy beanies Tams.

DeleteI love the floppy hat and the mustard color. I also really love your long pleated skirt in your header. It looks like its so fun to wear. I need a new wardrobe. By the way, when I saw Zooey Deschanel in your third picture, I always think of the movie Elf with Will Ferrell and I start cracking up. Love that movie. :) Hopping over from Local Sugar.

Thank you! I'll head over now:)
DeleteI have that hat and I found the only way I can wear it is to fold it and wear it as a beanie, otherwise I look like a complete weirdo. I love how you styled it, I adore leather pants as well and that studded jacket is amazing. Great looks!
