Get ready for some absolutely breathtaking architecture! Whats more inspiring than buildings full of grace and beauty like these! Just think of what it took to build something like that!

Hi Thistles and Twigs readers! I'm Casey from True Colours and I'm here guest posting for you today.
As an Interior Designer myself I'm fascinated by Harmony's home project so I thought I'd merge my blog with Harmony's today. Being that my blog is mostly about travel and Harmony's is mostly about her home design, I'm spending this guest post showing you the most amazing spaces and architecture I've seen in my travels.
These are some of the most amazing buildings or spaces I've come across in my time traveling and I can't wait to see what sort of spaces I encounter in all my upcoming travels this year too!
The Prince Albert Memorial - Hyde Park - London
This gorgeous huge monument in Hyde Park is one of my favorite monuments that I've seen. It's majestic but also fits right in here in London.
Hallgrimskirkja Cathedral - Reykjavik, Iceland
This cathedral is breathtaking and sits atop a hill in Reykjavik. It was built to mimic the Icelandic landscape and that it surely does.
The Pantheon - Rome, Italy
Something about standing in the Pantheon took my breath away, maybe the fact that it's thousands of years old and still standing or perhaps it was thinking about all those before me that walked those mosaic floors... whatever the case this building is truly remarkable.
Riad 72 - Marrakech, Morocco
A magical place to stay in Morocco, this Riad was breathtaking. Between the arches, the courtyard with water fountains or the hand carved wooden ceilings... it blew my mind at every turn.
Hotel Le Notre Dame - Paris, France
A favorite hotel of mine in Paris, designed by Christian Lacroix, the Hotel le Notre Dame looks out over Notre Dame Cathedral for a tremendous view but the rooms themselves are worthy as well. Gorgeous huge printed wall paper and carpet that looks like stone tiles... what's not to love!
What can't you love about this gorgeous piece of architecture in NYC... it's beautiful and historic. Need I say more?
St. Chapelle - Paris, France
A hidden gem of a church, this little chapel is fantastic with its huge blue stained glass windows, tucked away on the Ile de la Cite in Paris.

ReplyDeleteI have to agree with the Pantheon in Rome. I grew up two hours south in Napoli and have seen it many times. Wven still going back with my husband last summer I was still in awe of its beauty.
