For me this is an easy question because I didn't have a definitive style until after Gwen. Having a baby did something amazing for me in that it gave me a sense of purpose. Direction. I knew/know this is exactly what I'm supposed to be doing with my life. This my Job.
I get dressed every day because I take this "job"seriously. I want to "raise them up in the way they should go" and discipline and disciple them! Clothes are a tiny tiny part of this but the day-to-day actions being a mother requires are hard and can leave you drained and raw and I've found that there is a certain ritual and an element of mental preparedness in getting dressed for the day so I can meet my children with a smile ready to meet any challenges head on.
I hope you feel encouraged to use clothing and the way you dress as a tool! That you realize the impact you can make in your little ones even in something as trivial as what you do to prepare for the day. Thank you so much for reading!
