I've missed doing these!
Today I'm playing around with different looks for these lace shorts
Bardot Layered Lace Short (see more lace shorts)
The lace is obviously very soft and feminine in nature and I didn't want to stray too far from that.
I think it's kind of fun to just embrace the whole romantic feel sometimes.
Something important to note-
If you're on the lookout for a pair of these shorts please; Make sure they're LONG enough! This is not the time for a daisy duke fit! Otherwise you run the risk of looking like you're just out and about in your underpants. Not a cute look. I personally think these shorts look best when they're a slightly longer and looser fit-not baggy-but skimming the skin.
look #1 is polished and put together with out trying too hard.
I'm loving the olive green paired with the cream
and the slight safari feel from both the cork wedges
and the awesome bone/tooth necklace.
look #2 is perfect weekend wear. Easy, comfortable and cute!
Nothing is more feminine than a blush tone paired with lace.
This looks like mother earth to me...trendy mother earth with shaved legs and deodorant that is ;)
look #3 is a bit more grounded than the other two in that
I've paired the shorts with deeper tones and 'harder' looking pieces.
The tone of the shoes and accessories play up the feminine vibe of the shorts
and make for a pleasing juxtaposition of elements.
This is a good sightseeing type of outfit in that you could layer a fun colored tank
under the chambray and adjust to the weather. The shoes could be good for a lot of walking too if you just used some cushioned inserts and the bag is big enough to carry around traveling necessities without being a obnoxiously large.
What is your favorite way to wear lace shorts?
I love the 1st look! - well, all of them really. I have similar shorts and wear them all the time. :)
ReplyDeleteAll three looks are cute. I wear outfit 1 but with the boots in outfit 3. :-)
